Afrimat Limited is a leading South Africa-based mid-tier mining and materials company listed on the JSE Main Board. It supplies a broad range of products, including construction materials, industrial minerals, bulk commodities, and future materials and metals. Afrimat recently acquired 100% of Lafarge South Africa, integrating the cement business into its operations as part of its diversification strategy.

Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Competencies:

• Minimum Grade 12.
• Must have 3 -5 years’ experience.
• Be literate and functionally numerate.
• Pre-employment medical required.
• Must have a valid Operator’s Certificate
• Must have a basic mechanical background.
• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites.
• Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act.

Duties and Responsibilities (not limited not):

• Operating Front-End Loader on site to load all trucks with product in time without contamination.
• Ensure that all stockpiles are kept neat and safe.
• Operate F.E.L in a respectful safe manner in line with the training received.
• Keep the machine clean, safe and in good working order by completing daily pre-start checklist correctly.
• Assist with the housekeeping around the production area.
• Be able to work under pressure and sometimes extended hours (including overtime and Saturdays).
• Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior.
• Able to work as part of a team.
• Be safety conscious.
• Be willing to work overtime and weekends as and when required.
• Will be able to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
• Will be able to work independently as well in a team environment.
